Our Technology

Our soon to be patented molecular technology (U.S. Patent Application No. 17/599,008; U.S. Patent Application No. 62/835,746; Intl. Patent Application No. PCT/US20/28064), allows for the prediction of the presence of genes that determine antibiotic resistance in certain pathogenic organisms that cause infectious diseases.

How do antibiotics work?

Antibiotics work by binding certain proteins or enzymes essential for cellular function of a disease-causing organism.

How does our technology work?

Our technology identifies the genetic sequence of the antibiotic target, determining if the genetic sequence of the organism is normal or changed.

When does antibiotic resistance occur?

Antibiotic resistance occurs when those organims undergo genetic changes that alter the shape of those proteins where antibiotics bind, rendering the antibiotic useless and the organism resistant.
